We are an American couple who both recently resigned from very nice jobs in the sports industry to follow our passion for wine. The news that we were moving to a different country to start work at the bottom of the totem pole, in a new industry, when we already had work in desirable jobs, went over surprisingly well with friends, family and co-workers. There had to of been at least a few people who inwardly thought we were crazy. I mean, who leaves secure jobs that they enjoy in an economy like this?
For us the choice was clear; take this chance now or risk living with a lot of "what ifs" and "what might have beens". I can't tell you how many people responded to our news with comments like, "You know, I've always wanted to...(you fill in the blank), or "I wish I could do that." Well, we think you can. So whether you want to follow us to learn about wine from grape to bottle or want to follow our crazy adventure, we hope this blog inspires you to take something off your bucket list, no matter how big or small.
